The SanX 100 enables single-point storage management for heterogeneous data environments, combining SCSI, Fibre Channel, and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. This allows users to access provisioned storage directly over an SCSI connection, through a Fibre Channel link, or over Gigabit Ethernet. Over Ethernet, the appliance can offer either logical iSCSI volumes or file-level NAS shares. Internal storage capacities up to 4.8TB of Serial ATA and 1.75TB of Ultra320 SCSI for SAN-in-a-box deployment.
This appliance is ideal for centralizing, managing and reprovisioning all of your storage, whether your storage back-end includes a Fibre Channel SAN, SCSI-attached RAID units, or even SCSI JBODs. Featuing its own storage pool, the SanX 100 is a scalable way of quickly and affordably deploying a mid-range managed SAN. Dual Ultra320 SCSI channels and gigabit Ethernet are standard, with configurations available for implementations requiring added SCSI, Fibre Channel or Ethernet connectivity.
