Integrated These NAS servers integrate RAID and the server engine into a single chassis, enabling storage capacities of over 1.6TB in a 1U form factor to 16TB in 8U. Integrated NAS products are exceptionally easy to install and configure. The storage array, RAID controller, and NAS intelligence are all built into a single unit—no external wiring required.
Modular The modular line of NAS servers is ideal for high-availability, expandable configurations, or where ultimate performance is required. Based on M1, M2, or M4 NAS appliance heads, they can be matched with storage subsystems using SCSI or Fibre Channel connectivity. Typical capacities exceed 50TB in standard configurations, or more if customized.
Clustered For continuous data availability, the FlexStor-NAS can be deployed in an active-active failover/fail-back cluster configuration with redundant M1, M2, and M4 NAS engines to ensure business continuity. Most of the modular configurations (listed above) can be upgraded to a cluster with the addition of a second NAS engine. A small selection of these products is available in this category.
